July 15-18: The Exotic Universe of Flowers

A beautiful workshop interweaving drawing, painting, printmaking and collage techniques. Students will create a large-scale collage inspired by our lively study of how artists in different cultures have depicted flowers, from the exquisite botanical renderings of 16th century Indian painters to the exuberant still lifes of Matisse. With wonderful materials at hand (including bejeweled bric-a-brac I find in the markets in Jaipur!), you will delve into a dazzling exploration of this most evocative subject.

For students ages 7-13, limited enrollment

Cost $390, includes all materials.
Students bring snacks and water bottles.
